Terms of Service
Effective Date: 15 September 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Medication Coach website, member portal and related pharmacist-led services. By creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to these Terms. Please read the subscription, clinical safety and privacy sections before joining.
1. About Medication Coach
Medication Coach is operated by Ava Pavli Trust, ABN 82401631970, trading as Medication Coach ("we", "us", or "our").
Medication Coach provides medication education, coaching, medication record tools, and pharmacist review support. The service may include medication lists, symptom tracking, written reports, recommendations for discussion with healthcare professionals, and follow-up messages.
2. Eligibility and Account Authority
You must be at least 18 years old and able to give informed consent to create an account. If you create or manage an account for another person (such as a family member or dependent), you confirm that you have lawful authority to act for them and to provide their information.
You must provide accurate, current information and keep your login details secure. Tell us promptly if you believe another person has accessed your account without permission.
3. Clinical Scope and Safety
⚠️ Important Clinical Safety Notice
Medication Coach supports medication understanding and communication. It is not an emergency service, hospital, medical diagnosis service, or substitute for care from your treating doctor, pharmacist, or other qualified health professional.
Medication Coach does not authorise you to start, stop, or change a prescription medicine. Discuss all prescription changes with your prescriber. If a Medication Coach pharmacist identifies an issue, the pharmacist may recommend that you contact a prescriber, community pharmacist, or emergency service.
The service is not monitored continuously. Do not use portal messages for urgent symptoms, suspected adverse reactions, overdose, poisoning, or rapidly worsening health concerns.
4. Subscription and Automatic Renewal
The current subscription price, currency, tax treatment and automatic-renewal terms are shown clearly in Stripe Checkout before payment.
Your subscription begins when your first payment is accepted. It renews automatically according to the billing schedule shown before payment until you cancel.
The subscription has no fixed minimum term and no cancellation fee. We will send a receipt or payment confirmation to the email address linked to your account.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel at any time through your Profile & Settings in the portal or by emailing admin@medicationcoach.com.au. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period already paid for and stops the next automatic renewal. You will retain access until that date unless you ask us to close access earlier.
We will confirm cancellation electronically. Cancelling the subscription does not automatically require us to erase health records that we must retain by law or professional standards.
6. Payments and Failed Payments
Payments are processed by our PCI-compliant payment provider (Stripe). The provider collects and processes payment information under its own terms and privacy policy. Medication Coach receives payment status and transaction information but does not store your full card number.
If a payment fails, we may ask you to update your payment method and may pause access after giving reasonable notice. We will not continue charging after a cancellation has taken effect.
7. Refunds and Australian Consumer Law
We do not ordinarily refund part of a monthly fee when you cancel because access continues until the end of that paid period. We may provide a discretionary refund where appropriate.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL) or other applicable law. If the service has a major failure or another legal remedy applies, you may be entitled to cancel, receive a refund or obtain another remedy.
8. Price and Service Changes
We may change the subscription price by giving at least 30 days' notice. A new price will apply no earlier than the first renewal after that notice period. You may cancel before the new price takes effect.
9. Your Responsibilities
The usefulness and safety of the service depend on the information available to the pharmacist. You agree to:
- enter medicines, doses, allergies, symptoms, diagnoses and relevant changes as accurately as you can;
- tell us when information becomes outdated or when another person entered information on your behalf;
- read pharmacist messages and reports carefully and seek clarification when needed;
- continue to obtain prescriptions, monitoring and medical care from your usual healthcare professionals; and
- not rely on the portal for urgent or emergency assistance.
10. Communication with Healthcare Professionals
At your request and with appropriate consent, Medication Coach may send information to a healthcare professional you nominate. You are responsible for providing accurate recipient details. We may verify the recipient before sending sensitive information.
11. Availability and Technology
We take reasonable steps to keep the service available and secure, but internet services may occasionally be interrupted. Planned maintenance or security incidents may affect access. If you need urgent medication advice during an outage, contact your community pharmacist or call 000 in an emergency.
12. Acceptable Use
You must not misuse the platform, attempt to access another person's account, upload unlawful content, or interfere with security controls. You may download and share your own reports for personal healthcare purposes.
13. Intellectual Property
We own the platform, branding, templates, and general educational content. You retain rights in information you submit. You permit us to handle that information only as needed to provide, secure, and administer the service as explained in the Privacy Policy.
14. Suspension and Termination
We may suspend or terminate an account where payment remains overdue, the account is used unlawfully, or there is a material breach of these Terms. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to address it.
15. Liability
We are responsible for providing the service with due care and skill as required by law. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law or duties owed by registered health practitioners under AHPRA guidelines.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect service, legal, or operational changes. We will publish the updated date and give reasonable advance notice of a material change.
17. Governing Law and Contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia (SA) and applicable Commonwealth laws of Australia.
